Meet Lila and Lana, two adorable rescue dogs who are about to take on a very important new role: big sisters!
Twelve-year-old Lila was adopted by Lauren from the Humane Society, while nine-year-old Lana was rescued by Juan as a puppy. When Lauren and Juan began dating more than six years ago, their dogs became part of each other’s lives, too. Today, the girls are an inseparable pair, each with her own wonderfully distinct personality.
Lila is playful, affectionate, and always on the lookout for her next snack. She’s the more adventurous of the two, happily exploring new places and making new friends. Lana, meanwhile, is a loyal, social, and delightfully silly girl who prefers to stick a little closer to her people. Together, they’ve been by Lauren and Juan’s side through some of life’s biggest milestones.
And now, there’s another exciting milestone on the horizon!
With their first baby due in December, Lauren and Juan wanted to celebrate their growing family with a special pet photography session at Cypress Grove Park in Orlando. Surrounded by towering trees, Spanish moss, and beautiful afternoon light, we captured a mix of relaxed family portraits, individual photographs of the girls, and candid moments as everyone explored the park together.
Of course, the highlight was incorporating the couple’s ultrasound photographs into their pregnancy announcement, with Lila and Lana proudly sporting their new big sister bandanas! Between those special portraits and the quieter moments of cuddles, smiles, and togetherness, we loved documenting this exciting chapter for the entire family.
At 12 and 9 years old, Lila and Lana have already shared so much of Lauren and Juan’s story. These photographs celebrate not only the arrival of their newest family member, but also the two beloved dogs who have been there along the way.
