This session came to us in a particularly meaningful way. Alyssa and Michael won Sakura’s session during the 2025 Fur Ball Gala silent auction, where we donated the experience to benefit Pet Alliance of Orlando. It felt fitting that such a joyful afternoon would come from a cause so close to our hearts.
We met up on a gorgeous early evening at Harbor Park in Baldwin Park, a place Sakura already knows and loves. At just five months old, this sesame Shiba Inu puppy is full of personality. From the moment we started, she was alert and curious, keeping a close eye on every bird bold enough to flutter nearby. This is, after all, her favorite pastime.
Sakura trotted confidently along the path, offering up expressive looks and plenty of puppy swagger. She was especially interested in the bigger dogs passing by, greeting them with fearless enthusiasm. Eventually, she decided walking was no longer on the agenda, and Michael happily obliged by scooping her up for a well-earned carry. A princess knows when she’s done.
The whole session had an easy, relaxed rhythm. Soft evening light, leafy paths, and a puppy who clearly knows she’s adored. Our focus was simply to capture Sakura as she is right now: spirited, curious, and completely wrapped up in the love of her people.
These early months go by fast. Sessions like this freeze a moment in time, before the puppy legs get longer and the expressions change just a bit. We’re so glad we could create these memories for Alyssa and Michael, and grateful that this session also supported a wonderful local rescue.
