Meet Jazmyn and Jerzee, two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels who traded the Michigan cold for a little Florida sunshine!
Jazmyn and Jerzee were visiting Central Florida with their parents, Tonia and James, who wanted to commemorate their vacation with something more lasting than the usual souvenir: beautiful photographs of their girls together in a distinctly Florida setting.
Three-year-old Jazmyn, a black and tan Cavalier, is the sweet and easygoing big sister. She’s a cuddle bug who loves carrying her favorite toys around, playing fetch, and sticking close to her people. Her little sister Jerzee, a one-year-old tricolor Cavalier, brings considerably more chaos to the family. Affectionately nicknamed “Monstah,” Jerzee is high-energy, playful, and prone to all the classic little-sister antics, including stealing Jazmyn’s toys and pulling on her ears.
For their session at Cypress Grove Park, Tonia and James wanted plenty of natural interaction rather than photographs that felt overly posed. That meant lots of snuggling, kisses, close-ups, and room for Jazmyn and Jerzee to simply be themselves. With two affectionate Cavaliers, there was certainly no shortage of personality to photograph!
The Florida landscape made the perfect backdrop for their vacation session, giving the family something completely different from what they see at home in Michigan. Along with individual portraits of both girls, we photographed Jazmyn and Jerzee together and captured the close relationship they share with Tonia and James.
The result is a collection that feels like them: sweet, playful, a little silly, and full of affection. And years from now, these photographs will also bring them right back to the Florida vacation they shared together.
